Yesterday, after prayers and pleadings and nervous tummies and hopeful smiles up at the heavens and a highly-intimidating interview process........I was invited to join the faculty at Deerfield Elementary for the upcoming school year! Yay! The more that I think about this, the more I realize the magnitude of the responsibility that I am assuming...and just how wonderful an opportunity it is! Working as an intern will not be the easiest thing I have ever done, but I'm going to give everything I have to my 25 or so 1st or 2nd graders, and I know it is going to be a wonderful school year.
And how nice are the people at Deerfield? Pretty dang nice....apparently they welcome their interns by sending them these:
